Quiz: The truth about metabolism
Summary:
I scored an 87% on the Truth About Metabolism quiz. I knew about a lot of the things that the quiz was asking because of my prior knowledge. I find it ironic that if a person were to eat less than 1,200 calories in a day to lose weight, that person would lower their metabolism.

Weird Reasons Why You're so Tired
Summary:
After watching the three videos, I figured out why I'm always tired. I drink a lot of drinks with caffeine in the morning to wake up but it leaves me tired later. Apparently, drinking more water and eating a healthy breakfast replenishes that lost energy.

Glycemic Index and Exercise Metabolism
Summary:
The glycemic index, or GI, of a food is the increase in blood glucose that occurs after food is eaten. Foods that have a higher fructose content, have higher amylose/amylopectin ratios. People are more likely to develop to disorders and diseases if they don't exercise for a certain amount of time. Eating foods with lower GI about 30-60 minutes before an endurance exercise usually promotes positive effects during exercise. Consuming foods with high GI after exercise will usually promote the restoration of muscle glycogen.
