Farmers markets are not distributed equally across San Diego, but cluster in the south-west. It appears that the majority of farmers markets are located south-west San Diego, where the income is lowest. The farmers markets are centered around Downtown San Diego. It branches off into Mission Valley and Point Loma. The area in south-east San Diego is deprived of farmers markets and the area of north-east San Diego has only two locations. There is only one farmers market located in the one of the highest median income areas, which is in Rancho Santa Fe. There are four farmers markets in twelve areas that have the second highest income.
